Dell Shows P Series Monitors Outfitted With USB Type-C
Dell has announced via a press release that it will introduce two new line-ups in its P series of desktop monitors. The major differences compared to the previous iterations are slimmer bezels and a smarter cable management design.
The line-up consists of the P2719H, P2419H, P2319H, and P2219H, while there will also be slightly more expensive versions of the 27-inch, 24-inch and 22-inch models with USB Type C connectivity, which will be named P2719HC, P2419HC, and P2219HC, respectively.
According to the company, their new P series of displays are more than 23 percent smaller than the previous versions while retaining the same screen diagonal. Detailed technical specifications of the new displays are yet to be announced, although the company has stated that all of the models will feature an IPS panel, have flicker-free technology as well as ComfortView. You can also pivot, rotate and adjust all of the P series displays in height. The images also show that the displays will have two available USB 3.0 ports on the side, although connectivity ports are still unknown as well.
The HC series with USB Type C will be able to use their USB Type C connection to charge devices up to 65 watts, such as laptops, for example. Dell will start shipping these new P series models starting June 25th.
The standard 27-inch, 24-inch, 23-inch and 22-inch models will cost $359.99, $279.99, $259.99 and $229.99 while the HC versions with USB Type C will be slightly more expensive at $419.99 (P2179HC), $329.99 (P2419HC) and $279.99 (P2219HC).
