Antec Introduces DF500 Enclosure With RGB And Clear Panels
Antec has introduced a new budget-friendly enclosure, the DF500. The new case features two different versions with or without RGB lights, although both variations will have darkly tinted transparent panels and tempered glass.
The DF500 enclosure is standard-sized and fits an ATX motherboard, a couple of 3.5-inch hard drives and there’s room for four 2.5-inch SSD’s as well. In terms of ventilation, there’s room for either three 120 mm fans or two 140 fans at both the front and the top of the enclosure. A single 120 mm fan is already included at the back of the enclosure, and the RGB version evidently comes with an RGB fan as well. Dust filters are included at the front, top, and bottom of the Antec DF500 enclosure.
The front panel features three regular USB 3.0 ports, as well as an audio and microphone jack. The version with RGB lights will also have adjustable controls. This RGB control functionality can also be synchronized with a compatible motherboard. Seven colors are supported, and there are three different modes to switch colors: single color change, breathing and pulsing.
Both the Antec DF500 and its more expensive DF500 RGB counterpart should be available immediately for recommended retail prices of 59 and 79 USD, respectively.
