GoPro Releases New Version Of Its GoPro Hero Action Camera
Manufacturer of action cameras GoPro has released a new version of its popular Hero device, which will be sold alongside the more high-end and expensive Hero5 and Hero 6 models. The new variant of the regular GoPro Hero features voice control and can send footage to a connected smartphone automatically. Of course, you can always just use regular SD cards as well.
The Hero features a waterproof enclosure up to thirty feet and full compatibility with all previously released accessories with GoPro mounting holes. The maximum resolution of the camera is 1920×1440 pixels at 60 frames per second, and it lacks 4K recording found in the more expensive models. Filming in 1080p is also possible. Pictures can be shot at a maximum resolution of 10 megapixels and the sensor also features video stabilization.
The GoPro Hero features a small 2″ touchscreen display. GoPro will be releasing this new version for a price tag of $199,99 and is hoping to attract users who have never bought an action camera before. Notably, the Hero now supports commands via voice control as well, which can be used to start and stop recordings, snap pictures or turn the device off.
The new GoPro Hero 2018 edition is available in stores right now.
