Rumor: Apple Planning To Release iPhone X in Rose Gold To Help With Struggling Sales
According to a number of leaks and rumors, Apple is planning to release a new color variant of the current iPhone X, in order to help with the current struggling sales. Apple has overestimated the demand for its most expensive and notched iPhone, and a new rose gold color might help sell more devices before the next generation of iPhones arrives. The company has halved the production orders for the iPhone X, even though the first batch sold out in minutes on launch day.
The rumor is being reported by the Japanse website Macotakara, which has a mixed reputation when it comes to rumors. However, the rumor is being backed by reputable leaker Benjamin Geskin, adding credibility to the rose gold iPhone X model. According to Geskin, production has already started and Apple will unveil the new color option soon, most likely at the upcoming WWDC.
This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard about a rose gold iPhone X, as plenty of information and prototypes appeared before the normal versions were released. Currently, the iPhone X is only available in Space Gray and Silver. The 64 GB version costs $999.00 while the 256 GB version carries a price tag of $1,149.00.
