ASUS Introduces C624BQH Professional Monitor With 16:10 Aspect Ratio
ASUS has announced the C624BQH, a new model in their Pro Series line-up of monitors with a screen size of 24.1 inches. Remarkably, this monitor features a 16:10 aspect ratio instead of the usual 16:9 or ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratios. The higher 16:10 aspect ratio was the standard ratio for monitors a couple of years ago, but was replaced by nearly all manufacturers in favor of 16:9. The additional height of the 16:10 monitor allows for extra working space.
The screen resolution is Full HD, resulting in 1920 x 1200 pixels or WUXGA. In terms of other specifications, the C624BQH uses an IPS panel and LED background lighting. The display has a reaction time of 5 ms, a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m² and a contrast ratio of 1000:1. Thanks to its IPS panel, the screen has viewing angles up to 178 degrees. The refresh rate is limited to 60 Hz. The monitor is completely adjustable in height and can be twisted and pivoted for use in portrait mode. ASUS also mentions that the display features built-in blue-light reduction and flicker-free functionalities.
Connectivity-wise, you can connect DisplayPort, HDMI, DVI as well as VGA. The C624BQH also features a built-in hub with two USB 3.0 ports, 3.5 mm audio jacks and a card reader.
A price tag and release date are yet to be announced.
