G.Skill Announces New Trident Memory Kits
G. Skill International has announced the imminent launch of a new Trident Z RGB memory kit. The new memory kit will feature 2 pieces of 8GB DDR4 RAM at speeds of DDR4-4700MHz. G.Skill boasts that the Trident Z RGB memory kit is the first DDR4 memory to reach these speeds.
The memory kit makes uses Samsung DDR4 B-die ICs and is validated for use with Intel core processors.
Trident launched their first series of memory kits in 2016 and has earned a reputation for creating high-speed memory kits for a wide-range of systems. Over the course of the past year, G. Skill International has worked to improve the speeds of their memory kits. Now, they claim they’ve achieved a breakthrough with the new Trident Z RGB and created the fastest retail memory kits on the market.
Of course, speed is meaningless if the RAM can’t hold up under pressure, but G. Skill says they’ve subjected their latest memory kits to numerous tests to ensure they hold up under the most extreme conditions. Additional, the memory kits will feature software support which will allow for easy overclocking.
In terms of availability, G.Skill has said that they intend to launch the memory kits in the second quarter of 2018. However, they have not yet announced a price.
