AMD-Powered HPE Server Breaks Records In Two Benchmark Tests
It can’t be argued that this year has been a good one for AMD and the company recently got more good news regardings its enterprise-based EYPC chips. AMD has announced that HP’s new ProLiant DL385 Gen10 systems, which are powered by EYPC chips, broke records in the SPECrate®2017_fp_base and SPECfp®_rate2006 benchmark tests.
DL385 is a dual processor with 24 bays. Combined with the power offered by AMD’s EYPC chips, it has access to 64 cores, 128 threads and four terabytes of DDR4 memory.
In a recent press release, the company said that the DL835 will be available in December of this year though the company did not give an exact date. The price was not revealed, but given that it is marketed towards large enterprises, it probably won’t be cheap. Then again, it’s not like this device is needed for non-enterprise work.
