LG V30 Coming To Canada Next Week
While most of the hype is taken up by the impending launch of the iPhone X, Android fans have plenty of great things to look forward to in the coming months. Google’s Pixel 2 is just around the corner and the LG V30 is already out in the United States. While that’s great for those who live in the states, it doesn’t help Canada very much. Fortunately, Canada won’t have to wait long to get its hands on LG’s latest flagship as the phone is set to arrive in a week.
The phone is expected to cost 1,100 Canadain Dollars and will be available on a number of different carriers.
Last time around, LG upset some people by releasing different versions of its flagship phone to different regions. Infamously, some versions did not feature wireless charging, but the company appears to have learned its lesson this time around as all, aside from hard drive space, all V30s are the same across different regions. In terms of specs, they will all feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 and 4GB of RAM. The phones will also feature wireless charging and will be running Android 7.12 Nougat.
LG’s flagship phones have consistently offered good cameras and, fortunately, the V30 doesn’t appear to buck that trend this time around. The rear dual-camera setup features a 16-megapixel camera with improved functionality for wide-angle photos. Beyond photography, the V30 also features some fairly impressive video capabilities such as LG Cine Log mode. This mode allows for the capture of photos with flatter colors allowing you to do more work in post-production. It’s not for everyone, but video enthusiasts may find a lot to enjoy.
There is one potential downside that Canadian users will have to face, however, and that is the lack of color options. The U.S. version, for example, comes in multiple different colors, but the Canadian version will only offer Cloud Silver.
