SuperMicro Presents New C7Z270-CG-M micro-ATX Z270 Mainboard at CeBIT
Motherboard manufacturer SuperMicro has presented a new motherboard at the European CeBIT convention in Hannover, Germany. The SuperMicro C7Z270-CG-M is a well-equipped board with black, dark gray, and green color accents.
The smaller motherboard features a duo of PCIe 3.0 x16-slots alongside a single PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. There’s room for four DDR4 memory DIMMs. There are six SATA 3 connectors for storage devices but it’s also possible to connect M.2 solid state drives. The C7Z270-CG-M offers an impressive amount of recent USB ports. The mainboard features two USB 3.1 ports, one regular port and also a Type-C port. SuperMicro has also equipped the motherboard with six integrated USB 3.0 ports, with the possibility to add another two USB 3.0 ports via the internal header.
SuperMicro has chosen the Intel i219V chip for the ethernet connection. The integrated GPU of Intel’s processor will be able to output to DVI-D, DisplayPort 1.2 and HDMI 1.4.
According to SuperMicro, the small C7Z270-CG-M motherboard will start to hit the store shelves in a couple of weeks. A specific price tag hasn’t been announced yet.
