Report: Nintendo Switch Display Resolution Is 2K And An Internal Bus Speed Of 5Gbps
Rumors and leaks about Nintendo Switch are running wild on the internet. Now another rumor has made its way to the internet that reveals that Nintendo Switch resolution will be much higher than 1080p.
Recent rumors have suggested that Nintendo Switch resolution is 720p for the handheld and 1080p when docked. According to the rumor, Nintendo Switch resolution in 2K(2560 * 1440). The report comes from Reporter Takashi Mochizuk whose sources tell that the console supports 2K resolution.
The report also suggests that Nintendo Switch comes with a faster DisplayPort interface and the internal bus speed is 5Gbps.
This contradicts with an earlier report that Nintendo Switch will be less powerful compared to standard PlayStation 4. Even the standard PS4 is not capable of running games at 1080p, so it raises the question how Nintendo Switch will be able to display 2K.
When Nintendo Switch launches it will be going up against with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and according to an industry analyst, Nintendo Switch is the easiest console to develop games for. According to industry analyst Michael Pachter, he has heard from developers themselves that Nintendo Switch is the easiest to develop games for among the big three consoles.
We know that the console will be a hybrid of a handheld and home console by using a dock to attach the handheld. According to a report, Switch’s performance drops by 40% when it is not connected to the dock.
Nintendo Switch is expected to launch in March 2017 but no specific release date or price has been announced by Nintendo, which will most probably be revealed during Nintendo Switch Presentation next month.
