Alleged 2017 Moto Roadmap Reveals Lenovo Will Make Majority Phones
It seems like the 2017 Moto roadmap has been leaked online and this provides us with a couple of insights into what the company has planned for next year. The 2017 Moto roadmap reveals that majority of the phones coming out will be under the Lenovo team and the Motorola team will be focusing on the Moto G as well as the Moto Z.
The 2016 Moto Z family has been very impressive indeed so it is no surprise that we expect something similar next year as well. It might be a good move to have a whole team dedicated to the Moto Z. Word has it that the Moto X will be making a comeback next year but it will be dealt with by the Lenovo team.
To give you an idea of what you can expect, the Moto M was designed by the Lenovo team. Word has it that Lenovo will be using Moto branding on all the upcoming smartphones. This means that we will no longer be seeing the Lenovo branding on smartphones anymore.
2017 Moto roadmap shows the following smartphones coming out next year:
- Moto Z
- Moto X
- Moto M
- Moto G
- Moto E
- Moto C
As of right now the low-end smartphones come with the Lenovo branding while the mid to high-end smartphones come with the Moto branding. We expect all this to change in the coming year and the branding will become consistent across the board.
2017 Moto roadmap shows that we can expect a couple of smartphones coming out next year and we will be anticipating the company to make a splash in the market with these upcoming offerings. We will have to see how well Lenovo can pull off the Moto branding across the board. That is something I am not sure about.
