Rumor: LG G6 May Feature All-in-one Selfie Camera And Iris Scanner Module
LG had a hard time with their modular phone design but it seems that the company might be bringing some other kind of innovation in order to differentiate themselves from the competition. Korea Electronics Show LG showed off an all-in-one sensor which featured a selfie camera as well as an iris scanner. This could mean that LG will be featuring this new tech in their upcoming flagship smartphone, the LG G6.
We have seen the iris scanning technology in the Note 7. Although that smartphone did not manage to last long due to the explosive nature that it had, the iris scanning tech was pretty cool and it should be something seen more commonly.
If this tech made it into the LG G6 it could help save cost and free space which would be used for other purposes like adding more battery which is something that we need more of all the time. If only companies considered more battery life instead of making devices slimmer all the time.
Word has it that the LG G6 will also feature Magnetic Secure Transmission which will help in secure payments. The companies own mobile payment system is going to start next year so this will be a huge step in that direction. We will let you know more about the LG G6 in the future.
