Updated AMD GPUs; Better Performance, Lower TDP, RX 475, RX 485?
As of right now the current GPUs from AMD are made on the 14 nm process while the Nvidia GPUs as made on the 16 nm process.
AMD has not been able to capture the high-end market and some would say that it was not the companies aim in the first place and they would be right.
Now there are reports coming in that AMD is not waiting for the next gen architecture to come out and there will be updated AMD GPUs coming out soon. We might be seeing the RX 465, 475, 485 hitting the shelves soon.
According to sources, AMD will not be waiting for the new architecture to come out instead we will be seeing some updated AMD GPUs from the companies these will have 50% better performance and a lower power consumption as well. We have already seen the product with the updated AMD GPUs, the Radeon E9260 and E9550 which came out last month.
The updated AMD GPUs will also make their way to the mobile market and we will be seeing them in laptops as well. Keeping all this in mind it is possible that there will be RX 465, 475, 485 along with corresponding mobile versions of the updated AMD GPUs.
