Skyrim Special Edition And Fallout 4 MOD Support Coming To PS4
Modding is one of the best things ever introduced in gaming. If you have finished a game and still want to experience more then modding is what you want to do. Modding is a great option especially is you are playing an open world game. Skyrim and Fallout are great examples of undying open world games. PC master race has been given this luxury for a long time now and finally Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4 MOD support is coming to PS4.
Going a step ahead, Bethesda also says that the new PS4 Pro will feature enhanced support for both games. Native 4K will be a feature for Skyrim on the PS4 Pro and though this will not be a feature for Fallout 4, developers are saying that the lighting and overall graphics will be better on the new console.
Previously it was announced that there would be no Skyrim or Fallout 4 MOD Support for the PS4 and this is what was being said at that time:
“After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition.”
Now things have changed and this is the new word that has come out of the developer’s company:
“We and Sony have worked hard to make this possible, Mods on PlayStation 4 will allow you to modify and create your own content by using our Creation Kit available here. You will not be able to upload external assets with your PlayStation 4 mods, but you will be able to use any assets that come with the game, as most mods do.”
Skyrim Special Edition will be coming out October 28. We will see the developers’ work on Fallout 4 soon after that. Stay tuned for more information regarding Fallout 4 MOD support.
