We know that the GeForce GTX 1080 is a graphics powerhouse and that the aftermarket coolers and designs would just make the GPU even better. Here we have the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo OC 8G. Although the cooler is of traditional style, it has a new design to it. Gigabyte has added a bit of their own touch to the blower design on the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo OC 8G. At heart, it is still a 1080 so you can expect a great performance when you are gaming.

The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo OC 8G features two different modes: the OC mode, and the gaming mode. Both come with different clock speeds which will be talked about in this post in a bit. With such power, you can expect your VR games to run smoothly if you own a VR headset or are planning to get one somewhere down the line. The GPU is future-proofed to say the very least and I doubt you will need to upgrade anytime soon.

The key features of the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo OC 8G are as follows:

  • Integrated with 8GB GDDR5X 256bit memory
  • Turbo Fan Cooling System
  • Support up to 8K display @60Hz
  • One-click overclocking
  • Intuitive Xtreme Engine
  • Boost: 1797 MHz / Base: 1657 MHz in OC mode
  • Boost: 1771 MHz / Base: 1632 MHz in Gaming mode

This is a 2 PCI-E slot GPU so it is easy to install too. With all this power, you get the ease of installation out of the box which is very convenient indeed. This GPU has 8+2 power phases. For display output, you have Dual-link DVI-D x1, HDMI-2.0b x1 and Display Port-1.4 x3 at your disposal.

The Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Turbo OC 8G is a cool looking aftermarket GTX 1080 you can consider buying. Though there are several other options to choose from that do not have the blower style fan.
