AMD Radeon RX 460 Reviews Go Live; Performs Close to the R7 260
AMD has finally launched the Radeon RX 460, and with that, independent reviews and comprehensive performance benchmarks of the new Polaris-based card have also hit the web. Below you’ll find a list of all RX 460 reviews that have been published so far.
Priced at $109, the Radeon RX 460 is aimed at delivering 1080p 60 FPS gaming performance in eSports and MOBA titles from the likes of League of Legends, DOTA 2 and CS:GO. AMD claims that the card would deliver up to 2.8x Per/Watt improvement over past generation products thanks to the latest 14nm FinFET and GCN 4.0 architecture.
The AMD RX 460 sports the new Polaris 11 GPU, with 14 Compute Units and 896 Stream Processors which deliver around 2 TFLOPS of compute performance. The reference design will feature 2GB of GDDR5 memory across a 128-bit bus interface for a total of 112 GB/s bandwidth. The GPU is clocked at 1090 MHz base and 1200 MHz boost, with a memory lock speed of 7 GHz.
The Polaris 11 GPU has TDP rated at less than 70W meaning it won’t require a secondary power connection, but the power is delivered directly from the PCIe 3.0 slot sitting inside it. Last but not least, the RX 460 comes with Display Port 1.3 / 1.4 HDR and encode/decode capabilities.

We’ve already published the AMD Radeon RX 460 benchmark scores which show the card performs very close to the Radeon R7 260. The benchmarks also include the RX 460’s power consumption and temps results, and unfortunately, the card couldn’t even surpass the first generation Maxwell-based 750 Ti.
