The PSVR Cinematic Mode is Like a Personal 226 Inch Screen
The PSVR launch is coming close and with that Sony has announced a new feature for the PSVR. A feature that transforms the PSVR display into a 226-inch screen. This is called the PSVR Cinematic Mode. This cool new feature could have multiple applications in the future. Applications that Sony has not talked about yet.
Imagine if you could use this display that the PSVR Cinematic Mode offers for gaming when the TV is busy. Maybe the big game is on and everyone is hogging the TV. You could possibly use the PSVR Cinematic Mode feature and play the game using the massive screen that it offers.
This can also mean wireless VR gaming on the go. So you can take your PSVR anywhere without having to worry about connecting it to a screen. You need not worry whether your hotel room will have a TV in it or not as long as you have the PSVR Cinematic Mode. But all this is speculation and Sony has not said anything about this becoming a possibility in the future. But I sure hope for it.
This PSVR Cinematic Mode feature can be a potential game changer for Sony. Allowing users to go wireless in VR. What more could you ask for?
The PSVR Cinematic Mode gives you an ultra wide view of your games and movies. So you have a huge screen in front of you, or so it may seem. The PSVR Cinematic Mode was first mentioned on Sony’s Japanese blog. From where it has caught the attention of many.
The user has the option to choose between three difference screen sizes. A 226-inch screen, a medium-sized 163-inch display, and a smaller 117-inch display. The medium setting is the default one but you can turn it up all the way if you want to.
How will this display compete with the traditional TV display? We will soon find out.
