Doom SLI Support Confirmed, Performance Tips For 4K Resolution Coming
Doom has been unleashed on this world, and now all the players around the world can finally enjoy this exciting first person shooter. We have already seen that how good the game looks on PC and it seems that things are going to get even better.
while PC enthusiast are waiting for improved SLI support for the game, Lead rendering programmer Tiago Sousa has confirmed on Twitter that support is coming soon for Doom.
One user has reported that the game already runs better with SLI enabled, however, Sousa added that it is going to get much better because there is a problem with shadow limiting SLI scaling.
According to Sousa, if fans are running the game on 4K on their PC then they are wasting their GPU resources to process all of those additional pixels. He further explained that by adjusting the the resolution slider in the graphics options you can receive extra performance.
He added that work on Vulkan support for the game is proceeding. As of now, we don`t know when Vulkan support for Doom will be implemented, but we will surely learn about it in the coming days.
Recent, id Software demoed Doom running on GTX 1080 using Vulkan API. The game was running on a GeForce GTX 1080, with the framerate at up to 200 FPS with Vulkan.
Doom was released worldwide on May 13 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
