Asus Ultra Wide G-Sync Monitor Packs Every Feature a Gamer Needs
ASUS Ultra Wide G-Sync Curved monitor is ready to be shipped to PC gamers around United States. Those following ASUS related news will remember it from CSE last year. The 34″ IPS panel is the largest ROG display.
The display is designed primarily for gamers and offers 100Hz refresh rate with 3440×1440 resolution. You will need a monster of a GPU to compliment such resolution and refresh rate.
- Panel – 34″ IPS
- Resolution – 3440 x 1440
- Refresh Rate – 50 Hz – 100 Hz
- Response Time – 5 ms gray-to-gray
- Brightness – 300 cd/m²
- Contrast – 1000:1
- Viewing Angles – 178°/178° horizontal/vertical
- PPI – 109 pixels per inch
- Colors – 1.07 billion
- Color Saturation – 100% sRGB

ASUS Ultra Wide G-Sync monitor has “PG348Q” model number. It offers one DisplayPort 1.2 and one HDMI 1.4 input. HDMI 1.4 will only support 3440 x 1440p @ 50Hz.
Meanwhile, the Display Port 1.2 can handle this resolution at up to 100Hz. However, even a GTX 980 Ti will have a hard time pushing out 100 FPS at that resolution so clearly, the monitor should only considered by PC enthusiast who are running things in SLI. We also have 4-port USB 3.0 hub and two 2W speakers.
The official price of this monster is yet to be revealed but it should start shipping by May. Considering the features it offers, we are looking at a price range of $800 to $1200.
