Volvo Cars to Use Microsoft HoloLens for Selling Cars
Products like Microsoft HoloLens are bound to change how a number of things are done. For instance, the Redmond giant has now teamed up with Volvo Cars in order to let them sell their cars in style using HoloLens.
Björn Annwall, the Senior Vice President of Marketing Sales and Service at Volvo Cars commented on the partnership saying that with Microsoft HoloLens they are going to be able to show the customers the true potential of their cars unlike any of the processes followed previously.
With HoloLens we have the freedom to create a bespoke experience which customers can steer themselves. Imagine using mixed reality to choose the type of car you want – to explore the colors, rims, or get a better understanding of the features, services and options available.
The idea here is to “explore future automotive and technology scenarios and reimagining how people experience car buying.” This means that from finding out all the details there are about a certain car to actually checking how things will work after certain customization are all going to be aided by Microsoft HoloLens.
We are sure the augmented reality experience offered by the headset is going to improve a lot of things when it comes to selling Volvo Cars. However, if you are planning to do something similar we suggest you submit an application with Microsoft to get one for yourself for $3000.
