Meizu PRO 5 Mini Spotted Online, Features 4.7in Display and Deca-core Helio X20 SoC
Meizu, a Chinese based consumer electronics company, recently updated its flagship smartphone lineup with the PRO 5, a phone that packs in it enough juice to go head to head with powerful devices such as Galaxy S6 edge all thanks to the Exynos 7420 chipset. However, there was one slightly discomforting thing about the device for a lot of people and that was its pretty large size due to the 5.7-inch screen size.
For those people who didn’t jump at the opportunity to snag one of these phones just because of the size, there seems to be good news through some leaked info. It appears that Meizu is now working on a smaller version of PRO 5, named PRO 5 Mini that will reduce the screen size considerably.
The PRO 5 Mini is rumored to have a 4.7-inch Full HD display; however even after reducing the size, the mini version is in no way inferior to the original one and will feature MediaTek’s MT6797 deca-core CPU.
Meizu traditionally haven’t been known for cheap phones, but the recent competition has meant that the company has had to rethink its policies. The MX5, for example, started at just 1799 Yuan ($290), while the PRO 5 Mini is expected to cost 1999 Yuan ($320) which is still pretty awesome given the features of the device.
