Halo 5 Features Weapon Sounds Complete Remade From Scratch
The highly anticipated Halo 5: Guardians, developed by 343 Industries, is just around the corner, less than a week in fact till the game is finally released. The Xbox One exclusive title, according to developers, not only features a fresh new soundtrack but also new weapon sounds created completely from scratch because of the advanced nature of Xbox One.
Due to the large battlefields, there are tons of different sounds being heard during firefights. This required 343 Industries to come up with creative ways of keep the aural calamity in check. Since mixing so many sounds properly was already going to be a hard task, the makers decided to re-record the weapon sounds from scratch instead of reusing the old ones, probably from their own game for Xbox 360, Halo 4.
However, according to an Engadget report based on the multiplayer beta that took place earlier this year, the sounds don’t seem to be very powerful and aggressive in comparison to Halo 4 and feel kind of muffled. Though there is a high possibility that the final release of the game will see changed sound effects, after all it has been almost a year since the beta was launched.
Halo 5: Guardians will be available exclusively on Xbox One on October 27th and is the 2nd Halo game from 343 Industries as well as the 2nd installment of the Reclaimer Saga, featuring Master Chief, that began with Halo 4.
