Yahoo Mail App For Smartphones Updated With Significant Changes
Yahoo has just released a pretty significant update for its Yahoo Mail app on Android and iOS, bringing the application to version 5.0, which adds new features as well tons of improvements and UI changes.
Perhaps the first thing that someone will notice upon launching the application is the new look. According to developers, the application has been completely redesigned and it’s more powerful, yet simple and intuitive to use.
The new version also adds multiple account support and password-free sign in to the application. Yahoo claims that this is the first application to feature password-free sign in experience called the Yahoo Account Key.
Basically, what it does is remove the need to remember account password and enter it every time you need to log in to Yahoo Mail through the app. It’s also supposed to be more secure than a normal password because even if someone gains access to your account info, they will not be able to log in without the Account Key.
The app now also allows users to manage email accounts from Outlook.com, Hotmail and AOL Mail. Each connected mailbox will feature Yahoo Mail features such as search, smart contact and auto suggest.
The new Yahoo Mail app can be downloaded from Google Play Store for free and should work with all devices powered by Android 2.3 and above.
