Motorola And Verizon Confirm Launch Event For New DROID Phones To Be Held On October 27
There have been rumors floating around about Motorola’s upcoming DROID smartphones and their launch date to be sometime at the end of this year, although nothing has been confirmed. However, there seems to be chance that these rumors might end up being confirmed pretty soon as Motorola and Verizon have announced a launch event planned for October 27th.
The companies haven’t mentioned exactly which phones will they be unveiling but in the past, new Motorola devices have been launched around the same time so it’s a pretty safe bet that the new smartphones, probably sequels to DROID Turbo and DROID Maxx will be announced at the end of October. The phones might be available to purchase after a few weeks of the announcement.
The rumored DROID Turbo 2 is said to come with a 5.5 inch touch screen capable of QHD (1440p) resolution and a 64 bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. It’s also rumored that the phone will have 3GB of RAM, and atleast 32GB of internal storage. A 20 megapixel main camera and a 5 megapixel front facing one should make this device one amazing smartphone to consider purchasing.
The DROID Maxx 2 is rumored to be equipped with a 1.7GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB RAM and 32GB storage with a 5.5 inch display capable of 1080p resolution and a 21 megapixel back camera.
Whether these specifications turn out to be true or not, will be clarified at the launch event on October 27th.
