Microsoft Reveals Xbox One Wireless Controller Adapter for PC
The Xbox 360 controller was pretty well-received for its ergonomic design and ease of use, not only by console users but also by many PC gamers as well.
The Xbox One wireless controller takes the design of its predecessor and makes it even better than before, with better quality control sticks and more responsive buttons.
In order to let PC gamers use the Xbox One wireless controller with their desktops, Microsoft has revealed a wireless adapter dongle that allows one to wireless connect the gamepad to your computer. The wireless dongle has its own separate page on Xbox.com.
The wireless adapter will set you back $24.99, which may be on the higher end, but it’s definitely useful if your older Xbox 360 controller has aged badly. Besides, it’s a much improved design when compared to the over-extending, weird adapter that came with the Xbox 360 wireless controller.
Sadly, this neat, modern-looking adapter isn’t backward compatible, meaning you won’t be able to enjoy using your older controller with it. Regardless, those who own an Xbox One and are also PC gamers would enjoy the prospect of using your controllers on your desktop or mobile computers.
The wireless adapter dongle will be available in stores on October 20.
