Parts Of Half Life 2 Recreated In Unreal Engine 4
Released over a decade ago, Half Life 2 is still remembered as on the best PC games of all time. Fans have been begging Valve for a third installment, but nothing official has been said regarding the game.
Another popular fan demand is a remake of Half Life 2 with enhanced visuals and details. While developers aren’t ready to listen to that as well, someone did manage to share a few images from Half Life 2 in Unreal Engine 4.
It gives us an idea of how the game would look, if it was actually being remade by Valve. Check out the gallery below.
This work is brought to us by 3D artist Liam Tart, who worked on Alien Isolation. Tart used enhanced texture effects but kept the atmosphere of Valve’s memorable title.
These images take us back to Apartment 17 and really show us how far the gaming industry has come in terms of technology.
What I don’t like about these images, is that they are making it even harder for me to make peace with that fact that Half Life 3 will not come for a long time.
At least we know that Half Life 3 will look something like this or better, in terms of visuals.
