Kingston Announces HyperX Fury DDR4 for Intel Skylake Processors and Z170 MOBOs
Following the release of new Skylake Processors and Z170 motherboards; memory manufacturers are now announcing the DDR4 memory kits since the currently available DDR3 cannot be used due to higher operating voltage.
Kingston has now announced dual-channel 8GB and 16GB HyperX memory kits for the Z170. The all-new memory kits will be available in 2133MHz, 2400MHz, and 2666MHz frequencies.
In addition to this, HyperX Fury modules are reported to run at 1.2V enabling them to achieve higher frequencies on lower voltages.
This is not all! Kingston has also announced that the new HyperX Fury modules will also support automatic overclocking which will allow users to enhance the memory speeds without tweaking with the BIOS settings.
Lastly, the HyperX Fury kits will boast 34mm heatspreaders which will ensure better compatibility with larger CPU coolers. Design-wise, the kits will feature a black PCB so as to match the color theme of most systems.
Kingston has also confirmed that all Z170 variants from major manufacturers such as MSI, Gigabyte, and ASUS will be fully compatible with the new DDR4 kits.
