Android 5.0 Lollipop Update: Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 Will Not be Get the Latest OS
While Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 users wait for the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on their smartphones, Samsung confirms that the update won’t be coming to their handsets after all.
The latest operating system running on smartphones nowadays is the 5.0 Lollipop version. When a user asked via Twitter about an update for S3 and Note 2 users, the company denied it.
@WesoLabeshnai We don't like to give out bad news Rohan but the Note 2 and the Galaxy S3 won't be receiving the Lollipop update.

Although what seems like is they are extremely apologetic that the latest OS won’t be coming to the older generation. In fact, has to be a tactic for persuading the users to buy the latest generation phone that are extremely expensive.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 users were turned down but there is still some hope for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 users. The firm confirms that an update will be coming out for Note 3 users although when it may be out remains unknown for now.
We can confirm that the Note 3 shall be receiving the update. We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as it is ready. Unfortunately we would not be able to give you a time frame. We really do apologise for this.
It looks like all users with Android 4.0 KitKat will have to continue using it until the newer version hits their phone. Or they can always fall into Samsung’s trap and buy the latest Samsung Galaxy S6. According to a report by Reuters, the flagship phone S6 did not do well. The firm denies any sort of suffering though.
