Apple Watch to Launch in 3 More Countries on July 17
The Apple Watch launched in Taiwan, Switzerland, Spain, South Korea, Singapore, Mexico and Italy today. Apple quietly adds a launch date to three more countries.
The Netherlands, Thailand and Sweden are set for a July 17 launch date. With these additions, we can easily assume how slowly Apple is launching the watch internationally. It is expected that Apple will follow pretty much the same security procedure.
The Apple Watch will only be available through the Apple Stores and their official website for purchase. This will limit the vulnerability of being hoaxed. The Apple Stores will have a fifteen minute session which will allow consumers to try the watch and a special table to exhibit it.
The watch has already hit 16 countries and these three are the newest addition. The watch was originally launched on April 24. Initially, it was only available through the online stores until recently the retail purchase was also made available.
Earlier this month, a Reserve & Pickup mechanism was added for launch countries. As a part of this new deal, people who waited for store availability are now receiving free collectible bags. This round of countries is relatively little. This means that Apple is either choosing selected countries or want to expand slowly.
This new watch has lots of apps to choose from, this is a way of staying connected without even taking out your mobile phones. Have you guys purchased the Apple Watch yet? Let us know how it is coming along. Do not forget to send in your feedback.
