Samsung Galaxy S5 Getting Android 5.1.1 From T-Mobile
If you bought your Galaxy S5 from T-Mobile you are going to love them for this. After being the first to release Android 5.1.1 on Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, they have now launched the latest veersion of Android on S5 too!
In other words, this means that the T-Mobile customers are getting their Samsung Galaxy S5 updated to the latest build of its operating system while S6 owners who didn’t buy the phone from T-Mobile are still stuck with the older version.
This is great, but what I think is that all companies should speed up the process of updating their smartphones like this one. I mean it has been around two weeks since Android 5.1.1 came out and it shouldn’t take any longer than that for customers to start using it no matter what carrier they have.
Here are all the firmware details that you should know about:
- Model: SM-G900T
- Model name: GALAXY S5
- Country: USA (T-Mobile)
- Version: Android 5.1.1
- Changelist: 90673209
- Build date: Wednesday, 10 Jun 2015 17:15:27 +0000
- Product code: TMB
- PDA: G900TUVU1FOF6

The way I see it T-Mobile is well on the path of becoming the favorite mobile carrier company for smartphone users who love Samsung and Android!
If you own a Samsung Galaxy S5 from T-Mobile, you should get prompted for the update sometime later this day which is supposed to bring a list of changes to the operating system including layout changes and bug fixes.
