Facebook Currently Testing A New Feature, Lets you Curate your News Feed
Facebook, the most used social networking site around the globe has never failed to improve user experience. Facebook is always introducing new features and testing them to help users make the best out of their time online.
One such new feature has been introduced for testing; most mobile apps are seeing a box at the top of their News Feed with an animated puppy asking them to “See more of what you love.”
The new feature (if makes it public) will let users select what they would like to see on top of their News Feed. It will let users prioritize Facebook stories, news from their favorite friends and pages that they have like on Facebook.
Facebook confirmed to SocialTimes that their new News Feed algorithm override feature is currently in the testing phase and if liked and appreciated by users, it will be implemented. Although it does take years for Facebook to test features and often don’t even make it.
We are always exploring new ways to improve the Facebook experience, and are currently running a small test of a feature that lets you indicate that you’d like to see posts from a specific person or Page at the top of your News Feed.
So if you are tired of all the unwanted stuff on your News Feed and would like to see few ‘special’ friends and pages atop, you better start rooting for this feature to make it out of the testing phase. If and when the feature goes official, you won’t miss a single thing from people you have prioritized. What do you think about the new feature? Let us know in the comment box!
