Xiaomi Announces 10-inch Mi Pad 4 Plus Tablet
A couple of weeks ago, Xiaomi introduced a small 8 inch Mi Pad 4 tablet, and the company has now unveiled its larger sibling as well. The 10-inch Mi Pad 4 Plus will mostly feature the same specifications but in a bigger package.
As mentioned above, the 10″ version is mostly the same, with the largest difference of the screen size. The IPS display has an aspect ratio of 16:10, something that is seen more often on tablets. The Full HD resolution of 1900 x 1200 pixels remains unchanged compared to the 8-inch tablet.
The heart of the Mi Pad 4 Plus tablet series is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660, which is a previous-generation chip. It’s unclear why Xiaomi hasn’t chosen for a more recent model, such as its successor, the Snapdragon 670. The soc has four performance cores running at 2.2 GHz, along with an energy-efficient quad-core at 1.8 GHz. The visuals are being provided by an Adreno 512 GPU.
In terms of connectivity, all 10-inch versions of the Mi Pad 4 will come with built-in 4G LTE. Wi-Fi ac is also supported, as well as Bluetooth 5.0. An audio jack is still present, and Xiaomi uses a USB Type C port for data transfer and charging.
The Mi Pad 4 Plus does offer a couple more internal memory out of the box compared to the non-Plus version, with 4 gigabytes of RAM and 64 gigabytes of storage for the cheapest option. A slightly more expensive variant will also be available with 128 gigabytes of storage.
The Xiami Mi Pad 4 Plus has been available since this week for a price of 1900 yuan, which equals to around $280. The 128 GB version carries a surplus of around $40. The tablets will release in China and the company hasn’t announced worldwide plans, but it’s always possible to import one of the tablets.
