Razer Announces Panthera Evo Arcade Stick
Razer has announced its newest arcade fighting stick, the Razer Panthera Evo. Fittingly, Evo-version was announced at Evo 2018 which one of the largest video game fighting game events in the world. The Evo will feature Razer’s own mechanical switches and is considered to be the successor of the Panthera.
The arcade stick features eight face buttons as well as a traditional Sanwa joystick. Just like its predecessor, the Panthera Evo will be marketed as a PlayStation 4 arcade stick, with the console’s buttons featured at the front. You’ll also be able to use the device on PC.
The USB-cable is 8 feet long and it’s also possible to connect a headset via the 3.5 mm audio jack. Razer has slightly adjusted the design of the Panthera Evo as it now features a slightly more curved look. Razer claims that this was done to increase comfort during long gaming sessions, as the player will be able to rest their arms on the curved sections.
Adjustability is once again an important element for Razer, and although the company hasn’t shown multiple exteriors or partnerships with games, it’s likely that the Panthera Evo will come in licensed versions as well.
The arcade fighting stick will release this autumn in all regions for a recommended retail price tag of $199.99.
