BenQ Presents EX3203R 1440p Gaming Monitor With 144 Hz
BenQ has announced and launched the EX3203R, a new curved monitor aimed towards gamers. With the curve, 1440p resolution, large 31.5-inch screen size and 144 Hz refresh rate, the EX3203R definitely ticks a lot of boxes for many people. The display is compatible with AMD FreeSync 2.
The display’s curve is rated at 1800R, which is the default curvature for monitors of this size. As stated before, the panel features 2560 x 1440 pixels and uses VA technology. According to BenQ, the panel is able to display 90% of the DCI-P3 colour spectrum and also supports HDR images up to 400 cd/m². Regular brightness for SDR content is set at 300 cd/m². It’s worth noting that the maximum brightness isn’t sufficient to create a convincing HDR image, although it will definitely be better than completely non-HDR panels.
The viewing angles are rated at 178 degrees and the contrast of the display measures at 3000:1. Connectivity wise, the BenQ EX3203R features two HDMI 1.4 ports as well as DisplayPort. There’s also room for two USB 3.0 devices as well as a USB Type C device, compatible with both data transfer and video/audio – meaning you could use this display as a type of docking station for USB C laptops.
The BenQ EX3203R has already shown up in European stores for a recommended price tag of €549, but USD prices or availability details haven’t announced yet.
