Rumor: Most Expensive New iPhone Will Retain iPhone X Price Tag
Even though earlier rumors suggested that Apple would bring the price of their upcoming flagship iPhone X down, it appears that the Cupertino company has now decided on keeping the $1000 price tag for its most expensive model, at least in the States. In some European countries, the current iPhone X costs well over 1,349 USD.
The fact that the most expensive new iPhone will retain the pricing is being reported by Ming-Chi Kuo, who has a good reputation when it comes to information about upcoming Apple products. The “iPhone X Plus”, which will most likely feature a 6.5-inch OLED display, will cost around a thousand dollars.
The analyst also mentions that this would be the first iPhone with DUAL SIM functionality, which is in line with earlier rumors. Even though the larger model will be priced at a $1000 in the States, the successor of the regular iPhone X with 5.8 inches will cost slightly less than the current X model. The third iPhone, which would come in at a size of 6.1 inches and an LCD panel, would cost as much as the current iPhone 8 – $699.
An interesting note is that Apple would release this cheaper iPhone in new colors such as blue and orange.
