Logitech Releases G305 Lightspeed Wireless Mouse
After an announcement just a couple of weeks ago, Logitech has launched its G305 Lightspeed wireless gaming mouse with low latency. The gaming peripheral is positioned in the G-series and features an ambidextrous design, meaning that it’s usable for both right- and lefthanded people, although the thumb buttons are only positioned on one side.
With only 99 grams, the G305 is fairly lightweight. The wireless mouse features a Logitech Hero sensor, with adjustments from 100 to 1200 DPI at 400 IPS, the same sensor, and specifications as in the G603 mouse. The ‘Lightspeed’ term in the name refers to the quick report rate of the mouse, which Logitech claims to only be 1 millisecond.
This Lightspeed technology allows for the G305 to last 250 hours on a single AA battery charge. The mouse also features a low-power mode which has a battery life of six months with a single battery, but this increases the latency to 8 ms. You can switch these settings on the fly, which allows you to enable the Lightspeed mode during gaming sessions, for example.
The G305 Lightspeed will be available in both black and white color options, although the latter option will be exclusive to select retailers in some areas. The recommended retail price is $59,99.
