Bayonetta 3 Has Been Announced As Nintendo Switch Exclusive
Traditionally, Nintendo has had a bit of an aversion to M-rated games. The company’s first-party titles are known for the family-friendly content and Nintendo has managed to position itself as a sort of “Disney” of video games. Over the course of the past decade or so, however, Nintendo has taken steps to show that while its first-party games, such as Mario and Zelda, maybe family-friendly, its consoles can serve as a home to titles marketed to older audiences.
No series exemplifies this recent trend more than Bayonetta. When the first game launched in 2009 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, it garnered critical and commercial acclaim for its stylish action and over-the-top character design. A few years later, Nintendo surprised everyone by making its sequel, Bayonetta 2, a Wii U exclusive. The game did fairly well, but, sadly, its performance was hindered by the fact that hardly anyone actually bought a Wii U. The Nintendo Switch, on the other hand, is selling amazingly well which is why we’re so excited that Platinum Games has announced that not only is Bayonetta 3 coming to the Switch, but the first two games will be relaunched as well.
Witch, meet Switch.

As of right now, we don’t know much about Bayonetta 3 beyond the fact that it will be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. We don’t even have a release window for the game. However, we do know that the first two games will be coming to the Switch on February 16, 2018 so if you haven’t gotten a chance to play the first two games or just want to relive the fun, then it looks like this will be your best chance.
