Alleged OnePlus 5T Appears Sporting An Edge-to-Edge Display
Chinese company OnePlus is known for making great smartphones at affordable costs. Nicknamed “flagship killers” these phones offer premium quality and specs for much more affordable prices. However, this year’s OnePlus 5 felt a bit lacking when compared to the Galaxy S8 and iPhone X mainly because it used a very traditonal design that was heavy on the bezels compared to the S8 and iPhone X.
However, that may change with the launch of the OnePlus 5T. While this phone has not yet been confirmed, Slash Leaks has revealed an alleged press render which shows off a phone that looks very much like Samsung’s flagship S8. The phone, which can be seen below, features an edge-to-edge display with rounded edges and very minimal bezels on the top and bottom.
In terms of specs, it’s likely that this phone would feature the same ones as the current OnePlus 5 so the display would be the main differentiating factor. That being said, there’s no evidence that this phone exists. For all we know, this “leak” could be little more than a hoax or clever fake. As of right now, the company has not confirmed the existence of a OnePlus 5T so all we have to go on are rumors and speculation.
Assuming this phone is real, we don’t know how much it would be. If we were going to place a bet, we’d say it would probably cost a little bit more than the OnePlus 5 simply because of the larger screen size, but we don’t know how much more. The only thing we can predict with any certainty is that it will be cheaper than the Samsung S8 and the iPhone X. After all, OnePlus has built its brand around providing flagship level phones for affordable prices so we wouldn’t expect them to deviate from that plan anytime soon.
