Project Scorpio’s New Motion Interface Shown At Build
Microsoft is holding its annual Build developer conference in Seattle, Washingon. Microsoft is talking a lot about Windows 10 Creators update, the Windows Store, and the future of the Microsoft. We’ve seen the direction Microsoft is going with Windows 10 and embracing more Apple-like features and services. The small tidbit of news Microsoft announced alongside the bigger news is Microsoft Motion Interface, previously known as ‘Project Neon.’
At Build Microsoft showed how the Motion Interface would look on Windows 10 and the current Xbox. While Microsft didn’t demonstrate how’d the new fluent design would look on Project Scorpio, we can assume Microsoft will use the design across all their platforms. They want a unified operating system and design across all their devices. Microsoft is working towards haveing a universal interface across Xbox, Windows 10, Hololens, and their online services.

Based on the cohesion Microsoft is working towards we can expect Project Scorpio to have to the same interface. Windows Central first reported on the Motion Interface for Project Scorpio back in February. Sources close to Microsoft have confirmed they’ll use the interface on the latest gaming console. The difference between the Xbox One/One S and Project Scorpio will be minimal. The same design will make users feel at home but won’t give them many reasons to upgrade.
What we’ve seen so far is promising. Microsoft is sticking with the bright and flat designs. They’re building on top of what they already have in Windows 10. It’s also the same design language they’re using in the new mail app. It’s the building blocks of the new Microsoft. Soon every app will use the designs on all Windows apps.
Tell us in the comments below what you think! Are you excited to see the Motion Interface reach the Xbox and Project Scorpio?
