Asus Announces New Radeon RX 580 Dual Graphics Cards
Asus has announced that they will soon be launching retail-versions of their Radeon RX 580 Dual series. These upcoming graphics cards are overclocked from the factory settings featuring higher speeds. The Dual RX580-O8G will features speed of 1,380MHz whereas the Dual RX580-4G will clock in at 1,360MHz.
In terms of specs, the Radeon RX 580 will offer a transistor count of 5.7 billion, 32 ROPs, six TFLOPS of processing power, 2304 stream processors, 36 compute units, and 144 texture units.
Like the majority of the products in the Radeon RX 580 series, the upcoming Asus models will offer support for bridgless Crossfire and AMD’s Freesync which is designed to reduce screen tearing and produce a smoother gameplay experience. In terms of multi-monitor gaming, these cards will support up to five separate monitors as well as a VR headset.
In terms of heating and noise reduction, these cards will feature custom-built fans designed to slow or shut down completely when the cards are idle or being used to run less demanding games and software.
These cards are currently available at U.S. retailers with the RX580-O4G set to retail for $209.99 and the RX580-O8G costing $235.99. As of right now, the price of the RX580-4G has not been revealed. That being said, similar products appear to range from about $210 to $225.
