Corsair Releases Inexpensive Carbide SPEC-04 Enclosure
Corsair has introduced a new chassis in its Carbide series of computer enclosures, the Carbide SPEC-04. The SPEC-04 is a mid-tower enclosure with room for an ATX-motherboard, and the side panel of the case features tinted plastic. The SPEC-04 features a prominently black design with yellow, black or yellow colored accents.
The enclosure fits ATX, MATX or Mini-ITX motherboards and graphics cards with a maximum length of 370 millimeters. There’s room for two 3.5 inch hard drives and you’re able to install a triplet of 2.5 inch hard drives or SSD’s. The power supply can have a maximum height of 225 millimeters and there’s plenty of room for CPU coolers as well with room up to 150 mm high.
A single 120 mm fan will provide intake airflow at the front of the enclosure, and the case can hold up to five 120 mm fans in total. Dust filters are mounted at the front of the case, as well as in the power supply area. The I/O panel of the enclosure is located at the side, where you’ll find a USB 3.0, USB 2.0 port and standard 3.5 mm audio jacks.
