Microsoft Quietly Announced A New Arc Mouse Alongside The Surface Laptop
At Microsoft’s Surface event the big news was the new Surface laptop and Windows 10 S. There was a smaller little gadget announced alongside the new version of Windows and the MacBook Air look-alike; the Surface Arc mouse. The announcement didn’t make it on stage, though there were a couple of the mouses’ on stage. Instead, Microsoft posted a video and blog post about the updated Arc mouse. It’s now known as the Surface Arc mouse since everything Microsoft related is being renamed “Surface.”
The mouse is pitched as a travel companion for the Surface. If you’re familiar with the Microsoft Arc Mouse that’s been around for a couple of years, this is a revived version. You can scroll in both directions right from the click area and it can be stored flat then snapped into its distinct ‘arch’ shape when you’re ready to use it.
The Surface Arc Mouse is the Surface Laptop’s travel companion
The Surace Arc Mouse is $79.99 and will ship in Cobalt Blue, Burgundy, or Light Grey once available. The colors will compliment the color of the Surface Laptop. If you were a fan of the Microsoft Arc Mouse, then you’ll want to upgrade to the Surface variant. The clicker panel is improved with better control and accuracy. Otherwise, the mouse is the same as the previous versions of the Microsoft Arc.
If you want a mouse that’s ergonomic and works well with Window’s you’ll want this mouse. Microsoft builds the drivers and ensures it works smoothly on every Windows 10 or Windows 10 S device. I’ve used the mouse in the past and will want to upgrade to this new one that Microsoft quietly left out of their keynote presentation.
Tell us your thoughts! Are you going to buy the Surface Laptop or maybe just pick up the Surface Arc instead?
