NZXT Releases New Mounting Kit To Support Easier Liquid Cooling
While not necessary for everyone, liquid cooling is definitely a great feature on graphics cards. Some newer cards have liquid cooling built into them, but you can add one yourself using products such as NZXT’s Kraken G12.
This isn’t NZXT’s first mounting kit either. They previously released the Kragen G10, but the company has said that this new device is easier to install than the previous models and is compatible with a wider range of graphics cards. In addition to offering support for liquid cooling, the Kraken G12 also provides a 92-milimeter fan for other components. NZXT says this fan is compatible with third-party VRM heatsinks.
The list of compatible cards includes AMD cards going all the way back to 2009’s Radeon HD 5870. As for Nvidia, it offers support for a wide range of cards including 2010’s GeForce GTX 570. It also lists 30 different AIO models and it is likely that other models will work as well though these are unconfirmed. This is especially likely when you consider how often AIOs are rebranded. Still, if you want to be safe then you should probably stick to the approved list.
The NZXT Kraken G12 is currently available for pre-order and should launch by the end of April. It is available in black and white and is set to retail for $30.
