Gigabyte GTX 1080 Rock Edition Pascal Graphics Card Unveiled
While some might say that it is late to the game the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Rock Edition has been unveiled and we already know that the GTX 1080 is the best selling GPU that Nvidia has ever made, so there is no harm in having another variant for people to show off. With the holiday season here it is a good move from Gigabyte to push out another GTX 1080 version for the people to buy.
Although there are rumors regarding the upcoming GTX 1080Ti and the AMD Vega coming out sometime in 2017 it seems that companies like Gigabyte are still pushing out the current gen of graphics cards as well. The Gigabyte GTX 1080 Rock Edition has the following features:
- WindForce 3X cooling
- 1632MHz core clock
- 1771MHz factory overclock
- 8Gb GDDR5X memory running at 10,000MHz
- Single 8-pin PCI-E connector
- Three DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and dual-link DVI-D
The Gigabyte GTX 1080 Rock Edition features a backplate like other premium GPUs. As of right now there is nothing we know about this GPU when it comes to price and availability but looking at how the next-gen cards are coming out next year it is possible that this GPU will come out before the year ends.
