LG HDR Compatible 4K Monitors Coming CES 2017, UltraFine 5K
If you thought HDR technology was only used in photography then you are wrong in thinking so. It is also used in video and gaming. LG will be showcasing their line of HDR Compatible 4K Monitors at CES 2017 and this will be something to look forward to especially for content creators that need the best colors and depth. The HDR Compatible 4K Monitors that will be showcased are as follows:
- 32-inch UHD 4K monitor (model 32UD99)
- 34-inch 21:9 UltraWide Mobile+ monitor (model 34UM79M)
- 34-inch 21:9 UltraWide gaming monitor (model 34UC99)
HDR is the new trend in gaming and it has already been introduced to consoles so I see no reason why PC gamers should not have this feature as well. HDR Compatible 4K Monitors will meet the HDR10 standards. This will be useful for video producers and photo editors.
The 34-inch 21:9 UltraWide Mobile+ monitor will be the first Chrome cast enabled monitor that will allow users to play media files from mobile devices to the monitor. This is unlike anything that we have seen before and I am excited to see what this will be like in reality.
The gaming 4K and 5K monitors will come with AMD FreeSync technology. These monitors will be capable of 1ms Motion Blur Reduction and Dynamic Action Sync. This will definitely be something you want for your gaming setup. As of right now we do not know about the pricing of these monitors but looking at the high-end specs and features it is safe to assume that these will not be cheap.
It would seem that there are a couple of cool things that we will be able to see at CES 2017 and you can add these HDR Compatible 4K Monitors to your list as well. What do you think about them? Looking to get one of these beauties?
