First Domino’s Drone Delivery Takes Place In New Zealand
Drone technology seems to be the way of the future and it seems that it can be used to deliver more than just groceries. Today the first Domino’s drone delivery took place in New Zealand. Turns out Domino’s drone delivery could be a thing in the future as it is very quick as compared to traditional delivery methods.
With Domino’s drone delivery, pizza was delivered to a couple in Whangaparaoa that is 25 km north of Auckland. The order comprised of a peri-peri chicken pizza and a cranberry pizza. Thanks to the Domino’s drone delivery the order was delivered in under 2 minutes. This is incredible delivery time. It is like having your pizza fresh out of the oven, so to speak.
Domino’s drone delivery was done in collaboration with delivery company Flirtey. The drone uses GPS to find its way and was controlled by a team of drone experts including a certified drone pilot as well.
With more and more companies taking interest in drones and with drones getting more economical and user-friendly with each passing day it is safe to assume that this will be a thing of the future and this Domino’s drone delivery is the first of many to come.
With Drone delivery you will be able to enjoy oven hot pizza in a matter of minutes and you will not longer need to wait for half another for your order to get to you. Drone delivery makes things a lot faster and easier both for the company and the end consumer.
In a few years, we might see all fast food chain using this form of delivery and our upcoming generations might even not know what a delivery guy is. It is possible, just like the VCR and the walkman.
