Skyrim Special Edition Will Be Available For Nintendo Switch
While there have been warnings from Bethesda, it seems that Skyrim Special Edition will be available for the Nintendo Switch. Not only that but it will be available at launch and will feature mods later on down the line.
Sources at Nintendo have confirmed the availability of the game on the upcoming hybrid console, the Nintendo Switch. It has also been claimed that while mods will not be available at launch they will be added later on much like what happened with consoles.
“Also, that Skyrim port Bethesda refuse to confirm is real is totally happening. We’ve heard it’s planned to be a launch day release for the system, to mirror the recent remastered version of the game, and to allow mods at sometime post-launch.”
If you wanted to be able to play modded Skyrim Special Edition on the go then the Nintendo Switch could be something that you should consider. Although there is little about the device that we know of right now, leaks are coming in now and then.
“Mod support for Skyrim will not be there from day one, and much like the PS4 will be limited to mods made using existing in-game assets.”
The official Nintendo event is in January 2017 and we will be able to learn more about the device then. Nintendo Switch will be coming out in March 2017 so stay tuned for that as well.
You will not be able to mod Skyrim with custom assets, much like the PS4. Gamers will be given mods based on the in-game assets. If you want something more then you should look forward to playing the game on PC instead, if you already have not.
But then again this is a portable solution and you have to compromise somewhere. What do you think about Skyrim coming to the Nintendo Switch?
