Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti Spotted With 10 Gigs Of VRAM
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti has been one of the most anticipated GPUs so far and though we all were waiting for this beast to come out we never heard anything about it until now. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti has been spotted in a shipping manifest and sources claim that the upcoming powerhouse of a GPU will have 10 GB of VRAM.
Yes, I know this is an odd number but think about it. The GTX 1080 comes with 8 GB of VRAM and the Titan XP comes with 12 GB of VRAM so staying in between would make sense and for me at least it pretty much does.
While this is just a small bit of information to go by, it is an indication that there could be a bigger memory interface for the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti. The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 has a 256-bit memory interface and the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti could have a 384-bit memory interface.
While the price on the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti has been stated in Indian Rupees, in USD it would be roughly $1,000. This may seem like a high price but expect the performance to match as this is the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti that we are talking about the and Ti versions are more expensive.
To give you a bit of a comparison the standard GTX 1080 comes in at $600 and the Titan XP comes in at $1500. The gap between the GTX 1080 and the upcoming Ti version is huge if this report is to be taken to heart.
Before you jump to conclusions I suggest that you wait for confirmation or the official word from Nvidia. As this is an initial rumor this should be taken with a grain of salt.
I know that the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080Ti will not mean much when it comes to price to performance ratios but what do you think about the GPU?
