Google Deep Mind AI Will Learn How To Play Starcraft
Yes, Starcraft is a very old game, 18 years old to be exact but you have to admit that it is still a pretty complex game to play and teaching it to Google Deep Mind AI will be no easy task. Google is partnering up with Blizzard for this project and they are going to be opening up StarCraft II to AI and machine learning researchers around the world.
Google Deep Mind AI will learn to play the game in time but an API needs to be used so that it can see the pixels. Plus like any other gamer, there is a learning curve that needs to be covered here. This means that the Google Deep Mind AI will be going through tutorials in order to get a grasp on the basics of the game.
Once the Google Deep Mind AI has basic knowledge of the game it could take on players. In the grand plans of things the Google Deep Mind AI might be able to make bigger decisions, make predictions and solve complex problems in the future. Baby steps for now, though.
This could be a step into the future. What do you think about this AI playing StarCraft?
