Skyrim Special Edition Mods: PS4 Limited To 1 GB, 5 GB For Xbox
Skyrim Special Edition will be coming out for PC, Xbox One, PS4 as well as PS4 Pro. But Skyrim Special Edition mods for the PS4 are being restricted to 1 GB while the Xbox One still gets a decent 5 GB limit.
Bethesda has confirmed that Skyrim Special Edition mods will be coming out for consoles after the game comes out on the 28th of October. Some people have got the game early for review purposes and you can check out the gameplay of Skyrim Special Edition:
“Note on Mods: For Skyrim Special Edition, Mods will reserve 5 GB and 1 GB of space on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, respectively.”
Having that said it should be noted that Skyrim Special Edition mods will be cut down versions of the PC as consoles are not capable of providing the same results. Still, you have new content in the game to play with and with the creation kit coming out players will be able to play around with new stuff.
PS4 users, on the other hand, will not be able to use custom assets and will only be allowed to use what is provided to them in the creation kit.
Skyrim will have these features when it launches on October 28. The new power of the PlayStation 4 Pro has allowed us to make Skyrim render in native 4K, and it looks better than ever.
PC enthusiasts will already have tried playing the game at 4K so this will be nothing new for them but this will mean a big deal for console gamers.
You can also convert PC mods to console using the content creation kit tools and we will have to see how easy that can be done. Bethesda has talked about the new 64-bit content creation kit and how older PC mods using the 32-bit content creation kit will also work after they have been converted to 64 bit.
Keep in mind that Skyrim Special Edition does not introduce anything new when it comes to gameplay or story line. The game is the same but you will be getting a better-looking game, with better graphics, dynamic color and better shading as well as lighting effects.
